1. Service Description

UNScribe is an AI-powered web application that transcribes and summarizes publicly available United Nations Web TV meetings. The Service extracts audio from UN Web TV streams and uses artificial intelligence to generate text transcriptions and diplomatic summaries.

3. Account Registration

To use UNScribe, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription Plans

UNScribe offers the following plans:

• Free ($0/month): 3 transcriptions per month, up to 2 hours per transcription, 6 UN languages, transcription history.
• Premium ($29/month): 20 transcriptions per month, no time limit, diplomatic AI summary, 6 UN languages, transcription history, automatic email delivery.
• Team ($199/month): Unlimited transcriptions, no time limit, diplomatic AI summary, 6 UN languages, transcription history, multi-format export, automatic email delivery.

We reserve the right to modify pricing and plan features with 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use UNScribe only for:

• Transcribing publicly available content from UN Web TV (webtv.un.org)
• Legitimate personal, professional, academic, or governmental purposes

You agree not to:

• Submit URLs from sources other than UN Web TV
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or plan restrictions
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Misrepresent AI-generated transcriptions as official UN records
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or compromise the Service

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: Transcriptions and summaries generated from your requests belong to you. You may use, copy, distribute, and modify them freely.

Our Service: The UNScribe application, its design, code, and branding are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service.

UN Content: The source audio content from UN Web TV is publicly available material of the United Nations. UNScribe does not claim ownership over UN content.

7. Accuracy and Limitations

AI-generated transcriptions and summaries may contain:

• Errors in speech recognition, especially with proper nouns, technical terms, or accented speech
• Omissions or inaccuracies in the diplomatic summary
• Misattribution of speakers
• Variations in quality depending on audio source quality

Users should verify critical information against official UN records. UNScribe is a productivity tool, not a substitute for official documentation.

8. Payment and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. All prices are in US Dollars (USD). Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. You authorize recurring charges until you cancel your subscription.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

• Your access continues until the end of the current billing period
• Your account reverts to the Free plan
• Your transcription history remains accessible

Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis for technical issues that prevented Service use. Contact us within 14 days of the charge.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. UNScribe depends on UN Web TV availability and third-party AI services. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNScribe and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UNScribe and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to registered users via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
